Dear TC

Your Celebration of Life Service was such a blessing!  The people who mean the most to me have had only positive remarks.  It would have been awesome to record it, but that just wasn’t possible.  If only a few others had been able to be there in person.

One of my dearest friends was in attendance and she expressed it best.  She said the service was sweet, respectful and honored the Lord.  She said, “Pastor Nate’s sermon was what every funeral sermon should be: The Plan of Salvation with an invitation to Jesus”.  I agree.  It was my intention for every person in that room to have the opportunity to come to the Jesus who saved me and the Jesus Who welcomed you home on June 16, 2026.  My house is quieter, but Heaven is a little sweeter.

My new normal will take some getting used to.  That shadow of grief still dogs my steps.  I intend to be so focused on Jesus and HIS purpose that this particular shadow can’t hang around very long.

The church in Edgefield, Berea First Baptist, send a nice silk arrangement and it fit so perfectly on your final resting place.  I still struggle with the “g” word.

Trying to thank the folks who built your casket…well…I have decided this writer has not the words to properly express my appreciation; nor will I live long enough to share my gratitude.  Sometimes, a Labor of Love will live on far beyond what we can say or do.  You know who you are and I will never forget you!!!
